Dr. G. Mazza, MD
Dr G. Mazza graduate from McGill University MD 1986. Quebec medical license 87-541. Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry at Concordia University 1982. Internship at St Mary's Hospital family medicine program 1986-1987. Worked at Santa Cabrini Hospital emergency room 1987-2000. Admitting privileges at Santa Cabrini hospital 1987 to present. Chief of continuing medical education 1997 to present. Actively practicing family medicine in Montreal since 1989 to present. Actively involved in running phase 2 and 3 clinical trials since 2000 as principle investigator. Involved in over 110 different clinical trials in various medical problems as principal investigator. (Respiratory / Diabetes / Psoriasis/ Depression/ Cardiac/ Alzheimer/ Rheumatology etc).
Director of Operations
Gabriel D'Amico-Mazza
Gabriel graduated from Concordia University with a BSc and a Specialization in Biology. He has also finished a follow up Graduate Diploma program in Health Care Management from McGill University. He joined the GCP Research team in 2011 as the lead recruitment and advertising manager for Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical studies. He has been involved in over 40 clinical studies and has been an integral part of the growth of GCP Research. He has lead GCP Research to become one of the top recruitment sites across Quebec. With his knowledge in Phase 2 and 3 clinical trials he has been able to contribute to new and developing research, with the goal of continued medical advancements. His goal is to branch out into Phase 1 clinical trials and to use his experience and knowledge to contribute to drug development by following GCP guidelines and with the safety of volunteers always as his top priority.

Quality Assurance Manager
Cherylene Pinaroc
Cherylene graduated from Dominican College with a BSc in Nursing. She has worked extensively in Clinical Research. She worked as a Quality Assurance Manager at MDS where she was involved in numerous Phase 1 studies and was in control of data capture, quality control, documenting adverse events and doing follow up on participants. She has also worked as a Clinical Research Nurse at Duke University in Hematology. She is a BCLS, PALS, and ACLS certified nurse.

Chief of Medical Staff
Anas Nseir, MD, CCFP, FCCP, B.Pharm
A graduate of the College of Pharmacy in 1995, he obtained his medical doctorate in 1999 followed with a certificate in Family Medicine in 2001. Since his graduation, he works as an emergency physician. He heads the Santa-Cabrini Hospital Emergency Department since 2006. He is also the director of education at the hospital and clinical associate teacher at the Montreal University Medicine Faculty. Since 2011, he is also Deputy Registrar for the Medical Council of Canada.
Chief Oncologist
Dr. Michael Palumbo, MD.PhD.
Dr. Palumbo graduated from the faculty of medicine from University of McGill in 2008. He completed his Hematology/Medical Oncology Fellowship at McGill University in 2014. He is an acting staff at The Jewish General Hospital, in the Hematology-Oncology Department. He is also an acting staff at Santa Cabrini, in the Department of Hematology-Oncology. He obtained his PhD in Experimental Medicine in 2008 and his extensive research experience has led him to partner with GCP Research and head the Oncology clinical trials division.
Dr. Julie Ibrahim, MD, CCFP
Dr. Julie Ibrahim is a graduate from McGill University in Family Medicine in 2005. She had previously completed her Medical school at University of Montreal in 2003. She has worked since 2005 as a full time emergency physician at Santa-Cabrini hospital and also works as a family doctor and a hospitalist. She is board certified from the Canadian College of Family Physicians and is licensed from the Medical Council of Canada. Dr. Ibrahim is ACLS and ATLS certified and is also a teaching clinical associate at the faculty of medicine at University of Montreal.
Chief Cardiologist
Dr. Hussein Fadlallah, MD, CCFP
Dr. Fadlallah graduated from the faculty of medicine from University of Montreal in 1996. He finished his specialty of Cardiology in 2002 and his fellowship in interventional cardiology in 2003 from Le Institut de Cardiologie de Montreal. He has been the head of the cardiology department at Santa Cabrini Hospital since 2005. He has been involved in many clinical studies over the past 10 years and has worked extensively with GCP Research as principal investigator and sub investigator in other studies.
Dr. Serban Antonescu, MD
Dr Serban Antonescu obtained his Medical diploma from the University of Bucarest in 1985. He completed is residency in family medicine at the University of Montreal en 1992 and, since then, works as a full time Emergency physician. He was head of the Santa-Cabrini Hospital Emergency Department from 1999 to 2006 and works as emergency coordinator since 1999. He is responsible for clinical teaching at the University of Montreal Medicine Faculty and also teaches emergency medicine to externs and residents physicians.
Dr. Paul Tinawi, MD, CCFP
Dr. Tinawi graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Montreal in1993 and obtained his Doctorate from the same university in 1999. He completed his medical family residency in 2001. Since then, he works as a full time emergency physician at the Santa-Cabrini Hospital and Lachute Hospital. He is also a family doctor. He teaches at the Medicine Faculty of the University of Montreal and at the Santa-Cabrini Hospital. He also has ACLS and ATLS certification.
Dr. Frederic Tremblay, MD, CCFP
Dr. Frédéric Tremblay is a native of the Quebec City area. He attended the Laval University where he completed his advanced studies in medicine. He completed his residency in family medicine at the CHUL (Centre Hospitalier de l'Université Laval). Because for his interest in acute care, Dr. Tremblay registered to the emergency medicine program of the College of Family Physicians of Canada. He fine-tuned his skills during this complementary year at the traumatology center of the Montreal Sacré-Coeur Hospital. These improved skills allow him to offer top medical care to his patients. Since then, he has been working full time at the Santa-Cabrini Hospital emergency department.. He is much appreciated by the health-care personnel and patients for nearly 10 years.
Dr. Surjit Chatterjee, MD, CCFP
Surjit Chatterjee is a family physician currently employed at Santa Cabrini Hospital. He obtained his medical degree at McGill before heading off to Memorial University Newfoundland for a Family Medicine Residency. He also undertook a third year of residency in emergency medicine at Université de Sherbrooke. In his free time he likes to travel, with recent trips to Russia, Scandinavia and Newfoundland.

Dr. Richard Assef, MD
Dr. Assef completed his family medicine residency en 1998 which was followed by one year at the University of Sherbrooke to obtain his certification in emergency medicine. Since then, he has been involved in family and emergency medicine. He also teaches to the University of Montreal students and he is a member of the College of Family Physicians of Canada and of the Canadian Association of Emergency Physicians. He completed his ACLS certification in 2012 and ATLS certification in 2009.

Dr. Roxana Behruzi, PhD
Roxana is a senior clinical researcher with several years of experience in teaching and research. She holds a PhD in Public Health from Université de Montréal, and accomplished a postdoctoral fellow at McGill University. She holds also a MSc. degree in Midwifery. She is interested in clinical trials, specifically, Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) and has already been principal investigator of many clinical trials in obstetric & Gynecologic. She has also been part of health service research on a national and international level. She has published and presented her research findings in numerous national and international journals and conferences. She also holds the American Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA), and the Quebec Ministry of Health and Social Services REB’s Certification. She has experience and skills in monitoring adherence of projects to GCPs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Training GCPs to clinical trials staff; coordinating multicenter research projects; supervising team member and clinical research staff; developing protocols as well as management clinical trials projects.

Dr. Zia Moussavi, PhD
Dr. Moussavi graduated from Universite de Lille II, in France. He is a specialist in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a PhD degree in Pharmacology and Medicinal Chemistry. He has extensive experience in research, development, management, training, pharmaceutical manufacturing, formulation and sterile products. He has supervised teams of researchers in universities and pharmaceutical companies, and carried out several experimental chemical and pharmacological research. He has also supervised clinical studies, and coordinated many research Pharmacological projects. In Canada he has obtained a degree on Quality Assurance, cGMP, Validation and Formulation and is working as a QA, QC Consultant.

Mr. Martin Bertrand
Martin Bertrand is a pharmacist with a Master degree in hospital pharmacy. He is also an associate clinical practitioner and fellowship at the University of Montreal. Vincenzo Pio Carbonaro
Pio graduated from Concordia University with a BSc, Major in Biochemistry. He has completed a Certificate in Health and Social Services Management from McGill University. Together with Dr. Sylvia Sahai, Pio opened a private laboratory at Polyclinique Cabrini. He has worked at Maisonneuve-Rosemont Hospital as a biochemist researcher in the Renal Physiology department. He has also worked at Santa Cabrini Hospital for 33 years in the biochemistry department as a medical technologist. He was also responsible in the implementation of the Collection Center at the CLSC St. Michel.
